A new challenge to Google – Marissa Mayer with Facebook

Marissa Mayer, the CEO of Yahoo has started a controversy overthrowing a challenge to Google. She has agreed to amend the deal of search engine advertising. The issue is definitely significant since Google is the top ranked and favourite search engine among other various search engines.
Actually the deal was signed in the year 2009 to compete with Google. But it did not get success. On the other hand Google had developed its lead to become absolutely impenetrable.
Mayer was trying to get out of the deal for quite a long time. One of the reason was that Bing Technology of the Microsoft has developed and powerful on Yahoo’s desktop properties according to the arrangements of the deal. But Yahoo was not able to manage the search process on its websites and also the Ads placed against the searches.
The deal now has been reconstructed. Yahoo will have more prominent adaptability to do however it sees fit about a large portion of its search traffic according to the amended deal.
Now, some opinions of the speculators say that the organization will attempt and strike an agreement to outsource rest of the traffic movement to Google. Nicholas Carlson of Business Insider thinks that Yahoo can be benefited around $1 billion for this activity. Though the US government, as controller already restricted the proposed advertising agreement in 2008. But, it is not clear whether they will stick to the same antitrust to the agreement today or not.
Ben Schachter, Analyst of Macquarie Securities Group thinks that Mayer should take an attempt at getting some manifestation of search advertising deal with Facebook, and should give a note to the customers.
For a considerable length of time, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been looking at supporting his organization’s searching ability. Currently, it’s a titillating thought to him also. Facebook has definitely a huge treasure of databases of customers, and associations with connections of nearly 2 million advertisers. They can offer for customized or sponsored search results.
Analysts say that Facebook can be one of many partners of Yahoo as far as search engine is concerned. But how the venture will succeed cannot be predicted currently. But it certainly is a fascinating prospect. Now, Yahoo has amended its deal with Microsoft. By signalling her ambitions to compete in search technology again, Marissa Mayer may have just got her opportunity for a new challenge.
