IT companies are going to hire in large numbers after reaching a record level of attrition rate during the last two decades. There is a high demand for freshers in this industry. IT companies will offer jobs to 3.6 lakh freshers by March 2022.

Market intelligence firm ‘Unearthinsight’ stated on Thursday that the demand for IT services has increased rapidly in the era of digitization during the pandemic. Due to the increase in the ‘attrition rate’, there are problems in meeting this demand. For this reason, IT companies are focusing on recruitment at this time with full emphasis.

‘Unearthinsight’ stated in its report that the ‘attrition rate’ in the IT sector in the third quarter of the current financial year has been 22.3%. In the second quarter, this rate was 19.5%, while in the fourth quarter it is expected to be between 22% and 24%. However, the experts say that this situation will improve from 2022-23 and the number of people leaving the job is likely to come down to 16% to 18% during this period.

2022 is going to be the year of bumper recruitment in the IT sector and it will be going to continue even further. The total hiring of the top four IT companies of India will cross the 3,00,000 mark in this financial year. These recruitments are being done by TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL Tech.

Gaurav Vasu, Founder, and CEO, UnearthInsight, told that despite the wave of severe corona pandemic in the country during the last few months, the growth of the IT industry has continued. The growth in earnings of the IT industry is likely to be the highest in this financial year.

But, instead of growth in the IT industry during the corona pandemic, a group of IT companies used to create a false atmosphere of recession and tried to compel a lot of IT professionals to work underpaid. This scenario is mostly seen in cities like Kolkata where a lack of infrastructure is observed. However, the fact is that the IT industry nearly had no effect on account of pandemic and lockdown due to their remote job facilities. A new horizon has been opened up due to the corona pandemic – that is ‘Remote Job’. This option has created a new opportunity for IT professionals to work with many different countries sitting at home.

It has been stated in a different report that during the first half of this year (i.e. January to June), the intention of companies to hire freshers will be increased by 30% compared to last year. More than 47% of companies have expressed their intention to hire freshers in this phase which was only 17% in the last year.

India’s largest IT company TCS had set a target of recruiting 55,000 freshers in the financial year 2021-2022. Although TCS has already crossed its target limit and has recruited 77,000 employees. The company is going to hire more than 30,000 employees in the current financial year. So, this is the first time in India that an Indian IT company will recruit more than 1,00,000 employees in a fiscal year.
