The recent controversy on Islam and the Quran has reached a level, and various repeated analyses of the verses of the Quran proved that this book is not only unholy, but also, Islam is the religion of universal destruction. A lot of verses in the Quran are full of violence and poison of hatred. Some of the analyses are displayed here for the common people of the world in various languages.

The first analysis is of the verse which was being used during the April 2025 Baisaran Valley terror attack, militants reportedly asked male tourists their religion. They forced some to recite the Kalima (the Islamic declaration of faith) to identify non-Muslims before shooting them.

The controversy surrounding Ashim Sarkar, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Haringhata, West Bengal, reached a boiling point in late December 2025. His public discourse regarding the Quran has sparked legal battles, communal tension, and a fierce national debate over the limits of political expression and religious sensitivity.

The Spark: A Speech on the Border

The controversy began during a protest rally held near the Benapole border in the North 24 Parganas district. The rally was organised to protest the reported atrocities against Hindu minorities in neighbouring Bangladesh.

During his address, Sarkar reportedly cited several verses from the Quran, interpreting them as “violent” and “exclusionary.” He argued that these specific passages were being weaponised by extremists in Bangladesh to justify religious persecution. Sarkar claimed that by “disclosing” these verses, he was merely pointing out the ideological roots of the violence occurring across the border. The Quran is the only book that the followers of Islam believe in.

The Backlash: Legal and Political Fallout

The reaction to Sarkar’s speech was immediate and polarised. On December 28, 2025, various religious organisations and the West Bengal Congress filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Basirhat police station.

The Accusations

Hurting Religious Sentiments: Critics argue that Sarkar’s selective reading and public recitation of the verses were designed to incite hatred against the Muslim community in India.

Communal Disharmony: Legal complaints allege that the speech was a calculated move to create a rift between Hindus and Muslims in a sensitive border region.

Call for Disqualification: The Congress party in West Bengal has formally petitioned the Speaker of the Assembly, demanding Sarkar’s removal as an MLA for violating his constitutional oath.

Sarkar’s Defense and Death Threats

Ashim Sarkar has remained defiant in the face of legal action. In subsequent statements, he maintained that he did not “insult” any religion but rather “quoted” a text to provide context for geopolitical events. He accused his political opponents of practicing “appeasement politics” by targeting him for speaking what he calls an “uncomfortable truth.”

The situation took a darker turn when Sarkar filed a counter-complaint at the Chakdaha police station, claiming he has received multiple death threats from international and local numbers. He has since requested increased security from the state and central governments.

Broader Implications

This incident has reignited the debate on Section 295A of the Indian Penal Code (now under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), which deals with deliberate acts intended to outrage religious feelings.

Supporters of the MLA argue for the right to critique religious ideologies, especially when they intersect with human rights issues.

Opponents argue that in a pluralistic society like India, using religious texts to generalise or vilify a community is a dangerous provocation that threatens national security.

Current Status

As of late December 2025, the West Bengal police are investigating the contents of the viral video from the rally. The political climate in the state remains tense as both the BJP and the ruling TMC (Trinamool Congress) exchange barbs over the incident.

Now, modern people are literate and technical, so they will translate the verses of the Quran and judge how compatible it is for the modern society.
