A law student gang raped in Kolkata. It is being said that this incident happened with the student on her college campus itself. Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the gang-rape of a young girl that occurred on June 25. According to the investigation, the accused had been monitoring the victim for several days prior to the attack.

Among those arrested are two students, as confirmed by the police. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have not ruled out the possibility of additional suspects or further developments.

After this incident, the forensic team has sealed the crime scene. Along with this, the mobile phones of all the accused have been confiscated. Now, politics has also started in West Bengal regarding this incident. BJP has targeted CM Mamata Banerjee by accusing the TMC of the incident. BJP alleges that TMC workers are also involved in this gang rape.

The latest incident comes just a year after a student at RG Kar Medical College was raped and murdered, a case that had already raised serious questions about campus security and law enforcement responsiveness.

In that case, the police had arrested the main accused. Later, the accused Sanjay Roy was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sealdah Court. A fine of Rs 50,000 was also imposed on him. Convict Sanjay Roy was sentenced 164 days after the case.

However, the court refused to accept this case as the rarest of the rare. The court said that this is not a rarest of rare cases. Therefore, the death penalty cannot be given. At the same time, the local court ordered the state to pay 17 lakh compensation to the victim’s family, but the family refused to accept it.

A law college student has been gang-raped in Kolkata. The incident took place on June 25. Three accused have been arrested. According to the police, the accused are Manojit Mishra (31), Zaib Ahmed (19) and Pramit Mukherjee (20).

All three will be produced before the Alipore ACMJ Court in South 24 Parganas. Police say that interrogation of the accused is necessary for further investigation. The process of medical examination and statement of the victim is also going on.

It is hard that one of the accused, Manojit Mishra, is associated with the Trinamool Congress, and he was an ex-student of this college, and he recently joined as a college staff member there.
