Muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited disorders that involve muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue, which get worse over time.
Muscular dystrophies, or MD, are a group of inherited conditions, which means they are passed down through families. They may occur in childhood or adulthood. There are many different types of muscular dystrophy. They include:
(i) Becker muscular dystrophy
(ii) Duchenne muscular dystrophy
(iii) Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy
(iv) Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy
(v) Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy
(vi) Myotonia congenita
(vi) Myotonic dystrophy
Symptoms vary with the different types of muscular dystrophy.
All of the muscles may be affected. Or, only specific groups of muscles may be affected, such as those around the pelvis, shoulder, or face. Muscular dystrophy can affect adults, but the more severe forms tend to occur in early childhood.
(i) Mental retardation (only present in some types of the condition)
(ii) Muscle weakness that slowly gets worse
(iii) Delayed development of muscle motor skills
(iv) Difficulty using one or more muscle groups
(vi) Eyelid drooping (ptosis)
(vii) Frequent falls
(viii) Loss of strength in a muscle or group of muscles as an adult
(ix) Loss in muscle size
(x) Problems walking (delayed walking)
The prognosis for people with muscular dystrophy varies according to the type and progression of the disorder. Some cases may be mild and progress very slowly over a normal lifespan, while others produce severe muscle weakness, functional disability, and loss of the ability to walk. Some children with muscular dystrophy die in infancy while others live into adulthood with only moderate disability. The muscles affected vary, but can be around the pelvis, shoulder, face or elsewhere. Muscular dystrophy can affect adults, but the more severe forms tend to occur in early childhood.
There are no known cures for the various muscular dystrophies. The goal of treatment is to control symptoms.
Physical therapy may help patients maintain muscle strength and function. Orthopedic appliances such as braces and wheelchairs can improve mobility and self-care abilities. In some cases, surgery on the spine or legs may help improve function.
Corticosteroids taken by mouth are sometimes prescribed to children to keep them walking for as long as possible.
The person should be as active as possible. Complete inactivity (such as bed rest) can make the disease worse.

Body Systems – Western Astrology
In western medicine, the body is studied in terms of systems or groups of organs that work together. The organs in a system are grouped together because they are interconnected and also because they have made up of the same type of tissues.
Organs and glands involved in the removal of waste matter from the body: sweat glands, large intestines, urinary system (kidneys, urethras, bladder, urethra).
Sixth lord Saturn is in sixth and retrograde and in mutual aspect with mars lord of 3rd and 8th. Jupiter is in maran karaka sthaan aspected by the lord of 3rd and 8th and 5th and 6th lord Saturn. Saturn aspects both Moon and Venus by virtue of being retrograde it aspects from previous sign as well. Lord of ascendant is retrograde and conjunct 12th lord sun in sign Virgo the disease provoking sign of Kaalpurush. Mars in 12th indicates a sudden onset of disease and recovery . This chart belongs to Barret a Television personality of US. Dasha sequence was Saturn MD when the disease was discovered. Mercury as an ascendant lord is with Sun and it makes a relation with 12th house by being retrograde and then being conjunct the 12th lord Sun.
Here 6th lord Sun is placed with lord of 7th and 10th in 8th house. Here once again we see badly placed Mercury conjunct with Sun, Jupiter is again in maran karak sthaan and retrograde conjunct Saturn again retrograde. Jupiter is lord of Lagna badly placed and afflicted, the other benific Venus is also afflicted by rahu ketu axis. Mars is also in maran karaka sthaan and it aspects Venus and Moon. Jupiter and Saturn aspect Moon and Sun+Mercury combination( as retrogrades). Further Jupiter also aspects mars and 11th house the trigger of disease and Saturn aspects 12th the house involving hospitalization.
Sixth lord Mars is in 12th with Ketu indicating disturbed sleep patterns and hospitalization, Lagan is in paap kartari as there are malefics on the both side. Lagna lord Mercury is again conjunct 3rd lord Sun and 12th and 5th lord Venus and this conjuction is being aspected by 6th lord Mars from 12th Jupiter the badhak for Gemini is in 11th and it aspects 3rd house and ‘Trioka of planets’ there. Venus being retrograde also makes a relation with 2nd house and Saturn. Jupter is also a functional malefic here being lord of 2 kendras.
Conclusion: In all three charts we find that both the natural benifics Jupiter and Venus were rendered useless due to their position and malefic aspects, Mercury was conjunct with Sun badly placed or aspected by Mars or Saturn. The luminaries in all the charts were again weak by placement or aspect. Saturn is quite predominant in all charts as it is associated to wasting and chronic diseases. Mars denoting vitality and vigor was never in a benefic state.
