Mesut Ozil assisted Arsenal to put another nail in the coffin of Aston Villa while they met in the English Premier League on Saturday, Birmingham. Ozil scored the first goal in 32 minutes which made Arsenal confident. Danny Welbeck scored the second one just 2 minutes later. Fate of the game ended by Aston Villa’s Aly Cissokho scored an own goal in 36 minutes. Arsenal keeps continuing its unbeaten run in 16 matches consecutively earning 9 points. Arsenal will go to a head to head fight with Chelsea which is to face Manchester City today at Etihad Stadium.
On the other hand, last season’s runner-up Liverpool conceded a defeat against West Ham United. Blasting two goals within 7 minutes of starting helped West Ham United to win the match with Liverpool on Saturday at Upton Park.
Winston Reid and Diafra Sakho made the way ahead before halftime, although Raheem Sterling to made the deficit up to 1 goal. Morgan Amalfitano made the ultimate score to defeat Liverpool to a league defeat for the third time in five games this season.
Southampton won over Swansea City with a 1-0 score after the dismissal of Wilfried Bony on receiving red card in the first half. Victor Wanyama’s goal at the 80th minute of the match ended the resistance of 10-man Swansea City on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium, gifting Southampton 10 points.
Protests of the fans with placards like “SackPardew.com” seem to mean that they do not want the Alan Pardew as the manager of the Newcastle. We can assume that a black spot is inevitable in Alan Pardew’s job profile after Newcastle United drawn a 2-2 with Hull City. Nikica Jelavic gave a startling scissor kick to manage a goal, and then Mohamed Diame did another contribution to put Hull City in driver’s seat. But Papiss Cisse dedicated double against Hull City extinguishing the fire of Newcastle United.
